Sebastian Peyer joined the School of Law in September 2013. Previously, Sebastian worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Competition Policy at the University of East Anglia (UEA). He holds a PhD from UEA (Private Antitrust Enforcement in Europe : Empirics, Policy and Remedies, 2010) and a law degree from the University of Potsdam (Germany). His research interests lie in the fields of competition law. Sebastian has worked extensively on private antitrust enforcement conducting empirical studies, analysing and comparing German, English and US antitrust enforcement rules. He is interested in comparative competition law, EU law, litigation and class actions. For past projects he has researched consumer protection rules and merger control. In spring 2013 Sebastian was a visiting research fellow at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., with a scholarship award from the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law. He has been invited to present his research at national and international conferences. Sebastian teaches competition law, EU law and tort law.
