Irene Fraile is a qualified lawyer in Spain. She is a member of Constantine Cannon’s antitrust law group. She graduated from Universidad Complutense in Madrid and holds a post-graduate degree in competition law from King’s College of London. Irene specialises in EU competition law, state aid and public procurement. She has extensive knowledge of the EU regulatory framework of network industries and payment services, mobile payments in particular. With specialist studies to become a legal adviser to the Spanish Parliament, she is currently representing clients at the European Parliament in connection with the EU payment services legislation. Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, she trained at Clifford Chance S.L. Madrid, in the competition law department, where she worked on high profile antitrust infringement proceedings before the Spanish authorities and courts as well as on merger and complaint filings before the European Commission. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
