Deyan has graduated in English law at University of Manchester with First Class Honours and has been educated in Bulgarian law at the Sofia University Faculty of Law. He holds experience from a number of leading barristers’’ chambers in London, UK (Essex Court Chambers, Monckton Chambers, Stone Chambers, etc.) and currently in the Bulgarian office of CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. His main professional interests and experience are in the areas of commercial law (including competition law and intellectual property), litigation, arbitration, and private international law. He has held judicial clerkships at Manchester Crown Court and Sofia District Court and is advising UNCITRAL project on enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Bulgaria, and Bulgarian Parliament on amendment of insolvency and copyright law. He has publications in some of the leading international law journals such as Journal of International Arbitration and Journal of International Dispute Settlement, and is co-author of the chapter on Bulgaria in Global Arbitration Review for 2014. Deyan is member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple (London, UK), LCIA Young and International Group, ICC Young Arbitrators’ Forum, Swiss Arbitration Association "Below 40", ICDR at AAA. He has participated in the Willem C. Vis Moot Court Competition and Central and Eastern European Moot Court.
