Dan Howley is a special counsel in the Antitrust Group in the Washington, D.C. office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. His practice primarily involves counseling clients on antitrust matters, including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Dan also has experience in securities and shareholder derivative litigation. He has represented clients in matters involving a wide variety of industries, including internet advertising, steel, software, chemicals, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and financial products. He received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Duke University. Dan previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr., Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Dan is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and the District of Columbia, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
