Caroline is a competition lawyer based in London. She advises on all types of contentious and non-contentious competition law issues, including merger control and state aid, and has a particular interest in investigations and competition litigation. Caroline has considerable experience of advising clients in competition litigation, including a number of cases before the European Courts. Caroline also advised an appellant to the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal in the high-profile challenge to the OFT’s tobacco decision. In addition, Caroline regularly prepares merger notifications for UK and EU transactions and works on market investigations, including the recent UK market investigation into the audit market. Caroline is listed as an ‘associate to watch’ by Chambers UK. She is felt to have "an excellent grasp of technical material," and is also noted as "an extremely good drafter." Caroline is a joint author (with Ian Giles) of the UK chapter of The Public Competition Enforcement Review.
